I have serious heart eyes for hummus. It is one of my favorite salad toppings. I would make it daily for lunch and dinner if that was acceptable...wait, who am I kidding? I basically do. 

This oil-free, salt-free hummus recipe is a whole new world for your body - as compared to store bought hummus. Pre-prepared and packaged hummus is typically always filled with preservatives, unhealthy fatty oils,  + white salt (aka the devil.) In order to package any type of dip, there are chemicals needed to preserve freshness and color. These ingredients + preservatives are all extremely detrimental to our health in their own separate ways. Mostly all reeking havoc on the body's kidneys and liver. Ditch the pre-made dips and make your own! Simple, quick, and just as delicious! 

PREP TIME: 5 minutes                        YIELDS: 2

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 CAN ORGANIC CHICKPEAS

- 1 TSP BLACK PEPPER
- 2 TBS WATER
- 1 TBS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
- 1 TSP ORGANIC CUMIN
- 1/2 LEMON (JUICED)
- 1/2 TBS BRAGGS LIQUID AMINOS (OR ANY GLUTEN FREE SOY SAUCE)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

- BLEND ALL INGREDIENTS WELL IN VITAMIX OR FOOD PROCESSOR + ENJOY!
